Veteran Home Loans
More than four million
veterans, whose GI home loans
have been paid in full, are
potentially eligible for new loans
guaranteed by the Veterans
Administration under legislation
approved by the President
December 31, 1974.
New Loans are possible also
for some four and a half million
who now have loans outstanding
when their current GI loan is
paid off and the home purchased
with it has been disposed of.
The broadened eligibility rules
apply to all veterans who have
served since the beginning of
World War II.
H. W. Johnson, Director of the
Winston-Salem VA Regional
Office, said the recent
legislation follows a trend of
relaxing eligibility for the VA
guaranteed loans set by
Congress over the past decade.
The changes have been made
possible by the continued good
credit record set by veteran
borrowers, he noted.
Other provisions of the
December 31 law designed to
make GI loans more attractive
to both lenders and borrowers
are:
... An increase from $12,500 to
$17,500 in the maximum portion
of a GI loan which VA can
guarantee. There is no limit on
the amount of the loan to which
the VA guarantee applies.

Stage and Script will amaze
you when a beautiful young girl,
a total stranger, is found on the
walk outside of the Vandenburgh
home. She is carried inside and
when she recovers con
sciousness she is suffering from
a complete loss of memory.
Identification inside her purse
reveals that her name is Spring
Overton and that is all that is
known about her. That black
hearted rogue, Talbot Twilling-
ham, takes one glance at our
chaste young heroine and
decides that she will be chased
as well. But he reckons without
the presence of our noble and
manly hero, Casper Vanden
burgh, who is the answer to a

AC’s Sports
Many improvements have
come about in the varsity
athletic program this year and
one of these has been the
enlistment of a certified NATA
(National Athletic Trainers
Association) trainer. The
Director of Athletics at Atlantic
Christian College began looking
for an experienced athletic
trainer early in 1974 who could
serve the school teams and at
the same time continue his
education. Such a person was
found in Jack D. Lassiter, a
freshman from Durham, North
Carolina.
Jack Lassiter, a 1974 graduate
of Southern Durham High School
was signed a grant-in-aid in May
1974. Jack’s duties include the
treatment and prevention of
athletic injuries for soccer,
basketball, and spring sports.
Jack had offers from Atlantic
Coast Conference Schdols and
the University of South Carolina.
There were also many offers
from schools of the Carolina
Conference. He chose Atlantic
Christian over other schools
because of the friendly at
mosphere, closeness to home,
and the fact that he wanted to
attend a small school. He comes
to Atlantic Christian with six
years of experience. “Big Jack
hopes to continue his career as
an athletic trainer upon
graduation from A.C.C. An
assistant trainer will be added to
the training staff lS7a-1976.
Through working with the
Director of Athletics, Jack hopes
to help build a Sports Medicine
Program at A.C.C. during the
neil fouiWears,
ThP%sRstant trainer will be
Rusty Benton from nearby
Saratoga High School.
